Suggested solution That two electorates be created east of the Tamaki River, one centred on Pakuranga with a boundary moving south for the required population and one on Howick with a boundary moving east for the required population.

Suggested solution To call the electorate Owairoa because of its historical association with the area and its links with the tangata whenua of the electorate

Objects to the proposed name of Howick.

Suggested solution As this new electorate covers the areas of Half Moon Bay, Highland Park, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga and Howick a name change to either Eastern Beaches, Eastern Bays, Eastern Auckland or Musick Point would be far better.
