Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session—Order in Respect of Christopher Tai Sibley, Registered Psychiatric Nurse

In exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3), 23 (2) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 9 August 1994, ordered that the name of Christopher Tai Sibley be removed from the register of psychiatric nurses. The Council declined to fix a time after which he may apply to have his name restored to the register. The Council also ordered that he return all certificates and badges issued to him by the Nursing Council, that he pay $2,000 or actual costs and expenses (whichever is the lesser) toward the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the Council, and that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, and Nursing New Zealand (formerly the New Zealand Nursing Journal).
