Films, Videos and Publications Classification Act 1993

New Censorship Structure to Come Into Force
The Films, Videos and Publications Classifications Act will come into force on the 1st day of October 1994, creating a new agency, the Office of Film and Literature Classification and dissolving the Video Recordings Authority, the Film Censor’s Office and the Indecent Publications Tribunal, and the legislation under which they are constituted.

The new office is headed by Chief Censor, Kathryn Paterson.

International Air Services Licensing Act 1947

Notice of Intention to Amend an International Air Service Licence
Notice is hereby given that I intend to exercise the power conferred by section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, to amend the terms of the International Air Service Licence issued to Air New Zealand Limited to allow the airline to operate up to the equivalent of eight and one-half B747 return services in total per week to Australia and beyond to Bangkok, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei, Honolulu and/or Los Angeles; to operate up to three B767 return services per week to Seoul; and to operate up to five return services per week to Taipei using any aircraft type. These amendments will take effect on 1 November 1994.
