The acquisition by Union de Transport Aériens (U.T.A.) of Air France took place in France on the 1st day of January 1993. The company has the status of “limited company with employees’ participation” and has changed its name to “Compagnie National Air France”.

Consequently, the previously registered company, Air France, which has never traded as such in New Zealand, will cease to have a registered place of business in New Zealand and Union de Transport Aériens (U.T.A.) will change its name to Compagnie National Air France and will continue to conduct business in New Zealand under the name of Air France.
