Penal Institutions Amendment (No. 3)
Amends the Penal Institutions Act 1954. The principal purpose of the bill is to authorise the contracting out of the management of penal institutions to the private sector. The bill is to come into force on 1 September 1993.

Animals Act 1967

Approved Woolmarking Preparations (Notice No. 5242: Ag. 1300-38)

Pursuant to sections 69 and 94 of the Animals Act 1967, and after consultation with the New Zealand Wool Board, I hereby give notice that the woolmarking preparation set out in the Schedule hereto (being a product of Spot Check New Zealand Limited) is approved for sale and use in marking wool of sheep.

This approval takes effect on the day following the date of publication in the Gazette.

Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1979

Otago Raspberry Marketing Committee Election (Notice No. 5240)

Pursuant to regulation 15 (4) and the Second Schedule to the Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1979*, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of 2 producers’ representatives in the Northern Ward to the Otago Raspberry Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places; viz., Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Head Office, Wellington, also at the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries at Invermay, Dunedin, Timaru and Waimate, the Post Office, Temuka, and at the residence of Mrs R. Patterson (Secretary), Maytown Road, Waimate.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from Thursday, the 27th day of May 1993, during which period any person may lodge with the Returning Officer an objection in writing under his or her hand to any entry on the roll.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, MAF Quality Management, Private Bag 50-034, Mosgiel.

Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer no later than noon on the 14th day of July 1993.
