A customer was allowed a discount of 15.81% on a 2.4k TASTREAM service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 10% on a 9.6k LIGHTNET service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 15% on a 256k LIGHTSTREAM service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 15.26% on a 9.6k LIGHTNET service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 14.77% on a 128k TASTREAM service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 30.3% on a 64k LIGHTSTREAM service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 25.55% on a 64k LIGHTNET service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 14.4% on a 64k LIGHTSTREAM service.

A customer was allowed a discount of 11.8% on a 64k LIGHTSTREAM service.
7.3.2 International Telephone Services
Customers were allowed discounts of up to 3% on international calls. In each case the following criteria were used to assess the extra discount for each customer:
- Increase international toll volumes
- Meet the unique needs of specific customer groups
- Meet market requirements
- Recognise high volume of international calls
7.4 Call Promotions
7.4.1 National Call Promotions
The following discounts applied during the quarter:
From 15 February to 15 March 1993 Auckland ROC customers who made Direct Dial National Calls during this period to a list of specific locations each week-night between 6.00pm and 10.00pm went into the draw for a free national call. Ten callers each evening received their free call, the amount of which was credited to their Telecom telephone account. The actual discount varies according to the length and destination of the free call.
A discount of 5% off the prevailing Direct Dial rate on all national calls made on 1 January 1993.
7.4.2 International Call Promotions
The following discounts applied during the quarter:
5% off the prevailing rates to Australia on 1 January 1993.
30% off the prevailing rate to every country in the world. This was effective from 2nd to 3rd January 1993.
20% off the Standard Rate between midday and 8pm on calls to Australia and territories. This was effective from the 18th to 22nd January 1993.
7.4.3 Other Promotions
From 1/2/93 - 31/3/93 residential customers in the Wellington ROC region who had an additional line installed were waived installation charges up to $150 and offered free call diversion for 3 months. The exact discount varies according to the actual installation costs for each customer.
7.5 Specific Discounts
A customer was allowed a discount of up to 3.5% on National Calls. This discount was allowed to meet customer requirements and address short term market requirements.
