(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1993.

2. Open season—(1) Clause 3, subclause (3) of the principal notice is amended to read as:

"(3) There shall be an open season for fishing for sports fish from the 1st day of October in any year to the 30th day of September in the following year (both days inclusive) in the Heathcote River and the Avon River, except as provided in clause 4 (1) (c) and clause 4 (1) (e) of this notice".

3. Closed season—(1) Clause 4, subclause (1) of the principal notice is amended by adding as a new paragraph:

"(e) From the 1st day of May in any year to the 30th day of September in the same year (both days inclusive) in the Avon River and its tributaries above the Barbadoes Street bridge to the source; and in the Heathcote River and its tributaries above the Malcolm Avenue bridge to the source".
