Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice prescribes approved test facilities for the purposes of regulation 41 of the Radiocommunications (Radio) Regulations 1993. The facilities are approved by the Secretary for the purposes of testing interfering equipment and providing test reports. The notice comes into force the day after its publication in the Gazette.

Radiocommunications Prescribed Standards Notice 1993
For the purposes of regulation 2 of the Radiocommunications (Radio) Regulations 1993, and acting under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, I hereby prescribe the following publications as standards within the meaning of the term βstandardsβ in regulation 2 of the Radiocommunications (Radio) Regulations 1993:
(a) RFS 5, Issue 1, December 1993: VHF Maritime Mobile Service;
(b) RFS 17, Issue 1, December 1993: MHF SSB Maritime Mobile Service;
(c) RFS 18, Issue 1, December 1993: MHF SSB Land Mobile Service;
(d) RFS 19, Issue 1, December 1993: MHF SSB Land Mobile Service (Portable);
(e) RFS 21, Issue 1, December 1991: AM VHF Land Mobile Service;
(f) RFS 23, Issue 3, December 1988: Citizen Radio Service;
(g) RFS 25, Issue 1, December 1991: FM VHF/UHF Land Mobile Service;
