(a) Pursuant to section 20 (1), declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for road and pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 6 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 116 (1), declares the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto, to be stopped.

Notice of Intention to Take Land Under the Public Works Act 1981

1. The Wellington City Council proposes to take under sections 18 and 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, land known as Hall Avenue, Newton, Wellington, the legal description of which appears in the Schedule. It is a condition of this proposal that no compensation be paid for the land.

2. The land is required for service lane to afford rear access to adjoining properties. The land has been used for this purpose for many years. The council will be able to regulate the use of the land by pedestrians and vehicles if the land becomes service lane.

3. The said land is in the name of William Scott, general dealer, and Richard Tuckwell, settler, both of Wellington, both persons being now deceased and the descendants of these persons are unknown.

4. Any person having an estate or interest in the land may (under sections 23 (3) of the Public Works Act 1981) object to the taking of the land by lodging a written objection to the Registrar of the Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Private Bag J, Wellington, within 20 working days of publication of this notice, namely the 23rd day of December 1993.

5. If in doubt over your rights, please consult a solicitor immediately. A plan of the land which the council proposes to take is available for free inspection during normal office hours at the offices of Phillips Fox, Solicitors, Seventh Floor, Tower Building, 50-64 Customhouse Quay, Wellington (File Ref. 307905042 PLJ).
