Revocation of Direction to the Broadcasting Commission in Relation to Funding of Broadcasting Activities—National Radio and Concert FM

Pursuant to section 44 of the Broadcasting Act 1989, I hereby give you notice that the Direction to the Broadcasting Commission in Relation to Funding of Broadcasting Activities—National Radio and Concert FM dated the 7th day of July 1992 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 9 July 1992 at page 2374 is hereby revoked.

Education Act 1989

Dissolution of Board of Trustees of Opoutama School and Appointment of a Commissioner

Pursuant to section 106 (1) (aa) of the Education Act 1989, for the reason that so many casual vacancies have arisen that there is no longer any member of the board who is eligible to preside at meetings of the board, I hereby dissolve the Opoutama School Board of Trustees and appoint Mr D. Fox as commissioner to act in its place.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the Proprietor of the following school:

St Oran’s College, Lower Hutt

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 6th day of October 1993. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 65 Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt.

Wa Ora Montessori School (Attendance Dues) Notice 1993

Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at Wa Ora Montessori School.

Notice

  1. This notice shall be cited as the Wa Ora Montessori School (Attendance Dues) Notice 1993.

  2. The proprietor of the above-named school may enter into an agreement with the parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above-named school requiring them to pay attendance dues.

  3. The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be $283 (inclusive of G.S.T.) per term per pupil.

  4. Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, buildings and associated facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education, pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitutes the integrated school.

Resource Management Act 1991

The Resource Management (Approval of Telecom New Zealand Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice (No. 1) 1993

Pursuant to section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Resource Management (Approval of Telecom New Zealand Limited) Notice (No. 1) 1993.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:

(a) “Line” has the meaning given to that term by section 2 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1987, and “lines” has a corresponding meaning;

(b) “Radio apparatus”, “radiocommunication”, and “telecommunication” have the meaning given to those terms by section 2 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1987;

(c) “Network” means the system of lines, radio apparatus, and works which Telecom New Zealand Limited now operates, or may in the future operate, for the purpose of effecting telecommunication or radiocommunication; and includes Telecom New Zealand Limited’s network within the meaning of section 2 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1987;

(d) “Works”, except where it is used in the phrase “projects or works”, has the meaning given to that term by section 2 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1987.

(2) In this notice, any reference to an enactment shall be deemed to include a reference to all subsequent enactments passed in amendment or substitution for that enactment.
