Proposed Recommendation for Amendment to the Building Regulations 1992

Pursuant to section 48 (4) of the Building Act 1991, notice is hereby given that the Building Industry Authority intends to make a recommendation for the amendment of the Building Regulations 1992.

The recommendation relates to the addition of a prescribed form for the certificate mentioned in section 35 (1A) of the Building Act 1991, as inserted by section 11 of the Building Amendment Act 1993.

Fish Levy Regulations 1976

Fixing a Levy on Fish

Pursuant to the Fishing Industry Board Act 1963 and the Fish Levy Regulations 1976, a notice is hereby given by the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board that:

(a) From and after the 1st day of November 1993, every wholesaler shall pay to the Board a fish levy on all fish except rock lobster, paua, and snapper taken in quota management areas 1, 8 or 9, taken or purchased by him (otherwise than from another wholesaler) at a rate of 1.1 percent of the primary price of those fish, and

(b) From and after the 1st day of November 1993, every wholesaler shall pay to the Board a fish levy on rock lobster and paua taken or purchased by him (otherwise than from another wholesaler) at a rate of 1.5 percent of the primary price of those rock lobster and paua, and

(c) From and after the 1st day of November 1993, every wholesaler shall pay to the Board a fish levy on snapper taken in quota management areas 1, 8 or 9, taken or purchased by him (otherwise than from another wholesaler) at a rate of 1.2 percent of the primary price of those snapper, and

(d) From and after the 1st day of November 1993, the fisherman’s contribution will be at the rate of 0.367 percent of the primary price of those fish, and at the rate of 0.584 percent of the primary price of those rock lobster and paua, and at the rate of 0.4 percent of the primary price of those snapper taken in quota management areas 1, 8 or 9, and

(e) From and after the 1st day of November 1993, the wholesaler’s contribution will be at a rate of 0.367 percent of the primary price of those fish, and at the rate of 0.583 percent of the primary price of those rock lobster and paua, and at the rate of 0.4 percent of the primary price of those snapper taken in quota management areas 1, 8 or 9, and

(f) From and after the 1st day of November 1993 the retailer’s contribution will be at the rate of 0.366 percent of the primary price of those fish, and at the rate of 0.333 percent of the primary price of those rock lobster and paua, and at the rate of 0.4 percent of the primary price of those snapper taken in quota management areas 1, 8 or 9, and

(g) Notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 23 July 1992, No. 114, page 2528 is consequently revoked.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Forestry being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land, hereby jointly declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.
