Local Authorities Loans Act 1956

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal—Hibiscus Coast Development Loan 1993

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Orewa and Whangaparaoa Wards taken on 1 October 1993, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $20,000,000 to be known as the Hibiscus Coast Development Loan 1993, for the purpose to carry out a 5 year programme of roading and footpath improvements to the value of $12.5 million and sewerage improvements over the next 5–6 years to the value of $7.5 million resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,979

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3,859

The number of informal (blank) votes was 21

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
