transmission, on the day of receipt (as to which confirmation of transmission in its entirety by the facsimile machine transmitting the notice or communication shall be deemed adequate proof) unless sent after the end of business hours or on a day that is not a Business Day in which event notice shall be deemed to have been given at the commencement of the following Business Day;
and
(b) Letters: In the case of letters, on the second Business Day after being put in the post, addressed to the intended recipient.

PRICING SCHEDULE
1. INTERPRETATION
In this Schedule, unless the context otherwise requires:
“AC Factor” means the appropriate AC location factor for the area in which the relevant Point of Output Connection is situated as specified in the Appendix C;
“Billing Period” means a Month unless:
(a) supply under these Conditions commences part way through a normal billing period in which event the first billing period shall be the broken period from the date such supply commences until midnight on the last day of the first Month, or other billing period, of the period of supply; or
(b) supply under these Conditions terminates part way through a normal billing period in which event the last billing period shall be the broken period commencing at the end of the previous billing period and terminating on termination of supply;
“Pool Price Margin” means the relevant Pool Price Margin calculated in accordance with clause 4 of this Schedule;
“Standard Price” means the price calculated in accordance with clause 3 of this Schedule;
“Weekly DC Factor” means, in respect of Electricity being drawn off from the National Grid at a Point of Output Connection in the North Island, the relevant DC factor for each Half Hour in the week as published for that week by ECNZ but, in respect of Points of Output Connection in the South Island, shall always be 1;
“Weekly Notified Charge” means the relevant energy charge for each Half Hour in the week as published for that week by ECNZ;
“Year Ahead DC Factor” means the relevant factor for each Half Hour calculated in accordance with the Table in Appendix B unless the Electricity being purchased is being drawn off from the National Grid at a Point of Connection in the South Island in which event the year ahead DC factor shall be 1;
“Year Ahead Price” means the relevant charge for each Half Hour calculated in accordance with the Table in Appendix A.
2. PRICING
The amount payable by the Purchaser to ECNZ for the supply of Electricity during any Billing Period shall be the sum of:
(a) the quantities deemed to be taken by the Purchaser at each Point of Output Connection during each Half Hour of the Billing Period multiplied by the relevant Standard Price for that Half Hour at that Point of Output Connection; plus
(b) the quantities deemed to be taken by the Purchaser at each Point of Output Connection during each Half Hour of the Billing Period multiplied by the relevant Pool Price Margin for that Half Hour.
3. STANDARD PRICE
For the purposes of clause 2 of this Schedule the Standard Price for a Point of Output Connection for each Half Hour during each Billing Period shall be calculated as follows:
SP = P × ACFy × M
Where:
SP = Standard Price for that Half Hour for that Place of Measurement
P = the greater of:
(a) EPy × DCFy; and
(b) EPw × DCFw
EPy = Year Ahead Price for that Half Hour
DCFy = Year Ahead DC Factor for that Half Hour
EPw = Weekly Notified Charge for that Half Hour
DCFw = Weekly DC Factor for that Half Hour
ACFy = AC Factor for the Point of Output Connection at which Electricity is drawn off from the National Grid
M = 1.04
4. POOL PRICE MARGIN
The Pool Price Margin for each Half Hour during each Billing Period shall be calculated in accordance with the following table:
For Electricity supplied between:
2400–0700 hours in each day 0.28 cents/kWh
0700–2200 hours in each day 2.20 cents/kWh
2200–2300 hours in each day 1.43 cents/kWh
2300–2400 hours in each day 0.71 cents/kWh
APPENDIX A
Year Ahead Prices
The Year Ahead Price shall be calculated in accordance with the following table:
0700—1100 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Summer Period 2.52 c/kWh
1100—1700 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Summer Period 2.40 c/kWh
1700—2100 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Summer Period 2.52 c/kWh
2100—2300 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Summer Period 2.40 c/kWh
0700—2300 all other days in Summer Period 2.27 c/kWh
2300—0700 all nights in Summer Period 2.12 c/kWh
0700—1100 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Winter Period 2.83 c/kWh
1100—1700 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Winter Period 2.76 c/kWh
1700—2100 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Winter Period 2.88 c/kWh
2100—2300 weekdays (National Holidays hours, excluded) in Winter Period 2.76 c/kWh
