Fisheries (Bycatch Trade-Off) Notice (No. 4) 1993 (No. 5291)
Pursuant to section 28ZG of the Fisheries Act 1983, and a delegation made pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Director (Operations), MAF Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Bycatch Trade-off) Notice (No. 4) 1993.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 17th day of September 1993.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) The principal notice means the Fisheries (Bycatch Trade-Off Notice (No. 3) 1993; and
(b) Any references to Quota Management Areas, Target and bycatch species, and Methods in this notice are as defined or specified in the principal notice.
- Amendment to principal notice—(1) The principal notice is hereby amended by removing all references to BNS 1 from the list of bycatch species specified for quota management area 1, and henceforth commercial fishermen may not offer the Director-General a lease or sublease of the right to take fish as a target species in relation to BNS 1 as a bycatch species, in respect of catches of BNS 1 taken in quota management area 1.
(2) The principal notice is hereby further amended by deleting 1.96 as the amount of TRE 1 as a target species which may be accepted by the Director-General by way of lease or sublease in relation to bycatches of TRE 1 in quota management area 1, and inserting 1.96 as the amount of TRE 1 as a target species which may be accepted by the Director-General by way of lease or sublease in relation to bycatches of TAR 1.

Revocation of Standard Grade Notices for Export Potatoes and Onions (Notice No. 5590)
Pursuant to regulations 13 and 16 of the New Zealand Grown Fruit and Vegetables Regulations 1975*, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the following Standard Grade Notices are revoked:
(a) Standard Grade for Export of Potatoes Notice 1978 (No. 2048 Ag. 12/15/1/4) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 30th day of November 1978, Issue No. 104 at page 3291.
(b) Standard Grade for Export of Onions Notice 1977 (No. 1846 Ag. 12/2/14) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 8th day of December 1977, Issue No. 122 at page 3214.

Pursuant to regulations 13 and 16 of the New Zealand Grown Fruit and Vegetables Regulations 1975*, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the following Standard Grade Notices are revoked:
(a) Standard Grade for Export of Apricots Notice 1984 (No. 3411 Ag. 12/2/14) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 13th day of December 1984, Issue No. 232 at page 5684;
(b) Standard Grade for Export of Cherries Notice 1984 (No. 3400 Ag. 12/2/14) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 6th day of December 1984, Issue No. 227 at page 5475;
(c) Standard Grade for Export of Nectarines and Peaches Notice 1984 (No. 3396 Ag. 12/2/14) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 29th day of November 1984, Issue No. 223 at page 5377; and
(d) Standard Grade for Export of Plums Notice 1977 (No. 1627 Ag. 12/2/14) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 3rd day of February 1977, Issue No. 11 at page 185.
