Fisheries Act 1983
The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice 1993 (No. 5272)
Pursuant to section 28ZZF (2) of the Fisheries Act 1983, and delegation made pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Director (Operations), MAF Fisheries hereby makes the following notice:
Notice
- Title and Commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice 1993.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the fishery described in Part I of Schedule 1D to the Fisheries Act 1983.

Rotational Fishing Areas—No commercial fishermen may take scallops from the following defined areas within the waters of the Southern Scallop Fishery.
Area B and C:
The area contained by a straight line from the outer leading light at Collingwood (at 40° 40.7′S and 172° 41.0′E) to Bush End Point Light, Farewell Spit (at 40° 32.9′S and 173° 00.6′E) to Taupo Point (40° 47.4′S and 172° 57.3′E) and then back along the mean high water mark to the outer leading light at Collingwood (at 40° 40.7′S and 172° 41.0′E).
Areas D and E:
The area contained by a straight line commencing near Totaranui (at 40° 49.0′S and 173° 00.9′E) to the outer edge of the Separation Point Coral Patch (at 40° 47.7′S and 173° 07.7′E) to a point in mid Tasman Bay (at 41° 02.8′S and 173° 16.1′E) to Port Motueka (at 41° 08.3′S and 173° 01.3′E) and then back along the mean high water mark to a point near Totaranui (at 40° 49.0′S and 173° 00.9′E).
Areas G and H:
The area contained by a straight line commencing at the eastern end of Rabbit Island (at 41° 17.1′S and 173° 11.8′E) to a point in mid Tasman Bay (at 41° 02.8′S and 173° 16.1′E) to Okuri Point (at 40° 58.6′S and 173° 45.7′E) and then back along the mean high water mark to the eastern end of Rabbit Island (at 41° 17.1′S and 173° 11.8′E).
Ketu Bay, Pelorus Sound:
The area inside a straight line from Post Office Point (at 40° 58.4′S and 173° 59.6′E) to the south western entrance of Ketu Bay (at 40° 59.1′S and 173° 58.4′E).
- Cancellation of Previous Notice—The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice (No. 3) 1992 (No. 5191) is hereby cancelled.

The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1993 (No. 5273)
Pursuant to section 28ZM of the Fisheries Act 1983, and delegation made pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Director (Operations), MAF Fisheries hereby makes the following notice:

- Title and Commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1993.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the fishery described in Part I of Schedule 1D to the Fisheries Act 1983.

Scallop Season—The period commencing on the 25th day of August 1993 and ending with the close of the 16th day of December 1993, shall be the commercial Southern Scallop Fishery season for the 1993/94 fishing year.

Education
Education Act 1989
Dissolution of Board of Trustees and Appointment of a Commissioner
Pursuant to section 107 of the Education Act 1989, and following the dissolution of the Waimumu School Board of Trustees, by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, I hereby appoint
John Heenan as commissioner
to act in the place of the board.

Dissolution of Board of Trustees
Pursuant to section 107 of the Education Act 1989, I am satisfied that the Waimumu School Board of Trustees should not continue in existence by reason of disharmony and lack of action and I hereby dissolve the Waimumu School Board of Trustees and direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a commissioner to act in its place.

Exclusion of Home-Based Care Premises From Being Termed Early Childhood Centres
Pursuant to section 308 (2) (i) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that premises where home-based care, within the meaning of the Education (Home-Based Care) Order 1992, is or is to be provided are not early childhood centres.
