1. Election of Two Producer Members

An election is to be held pursuant to the Kiwifruit Marketing Regulations 1977, to elect two producer members to the New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board for a term expiring on 31 October 1996. Polling will close at noon on 29 October 1993.

The electoral roll of producers will be available for inspection during normal office hours from Friday, 6 August 1993 to Friday, 13 August 1993 at the following places: Agriculture New Zealand Limited office in Levin; New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board offices in Kerikeri, Auckland, Mount Maunganui, Gisborne, Hastings, Nelson; and the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation in Wellington.

No amendments can be made to the roll after Friday, 13 August 1993.

2. Nominations of Candidates

Nominations open on Friday, 20 August 1993 and close at noon Friday, 3 September 1993. Please send nominations to the Returning Officer, New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board, P.O. Box 9906, Auckland (nomination forms will be available from the above New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board offices from 20 August 1993).

The regulations require that all nominees:

(a) Have their name on the electoral roll;

(b) Are nominated in writing by two or more producers who appear on the roll as producers of at least 5000 export trays each in the 1992 season;

(c) Accept nomination in writing;

(d) Pay to the Returning Officer an amount of $112.50 ($100.00 plus $12.50 G.S.T.).

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of a Declaration That the Land Shall be Protected Private Land

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Department of Conservation, Wanganui, hereby revokes the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 May 1982, No. 54, page 1641, declaring that the private land, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be protected private land for historical purposes.

Classification of Parts of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Acting Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby classifies those parts of the reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, as local purpose (community buildings) reserves, and further classifies those parts of the reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto, as recreation reserves, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
