Animals Act 1967

Notice to Set Apart and Define a Special Quarantine Ground at Te Puke (Notice No. 5149; QUAL/0966/WBT)

Pursuant to section 11A (1) of the Animals Act 1967, land as specified in the attached Schedule, is hereby declared to be a special quarantine ground for the detention of imported animals or one or more kinds of imported animals.

Schedule

Land and premises owned by P. Wooley and A. Blaber located on State Highway 2, R.D. 7, Te Puke, being Section 16, Block IV, Te Tumu Survey District, containing 1300 square metres, more or less and part Papamoa 3A Block, Block IV, Te Tumu Survey District, being 1166 square metres, more or less.

Notice to Abolish a Special Quarantine Ground at Te Puke (Notice No. 5150; QUAL/0966/HFT)

Pursuant to section 11A (2) of the Animals Act 1967, land as specified in the attached Schedule, is hereby abolished as a special quarantine ground for the detention of imported animals or one or more kinds of imported animals.

Schedule

Land and premises owned by J. W. and A. K. Leveridge located on State Highway 2, R.D. 7, Te Puke, being Section 16, Block IV, Te Tumu Survey District, containing 1300 square metres, more or less and part Papamoa 3A Block, Block IV, Te Tumu Survey District, being 1166 square metres, more or less.

Notice to Abolish a Special Quarantine Ground at Hato Paora College (Notice No. 5151; QUAL/0966/PAO)

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to section 11A (2) of the Animals Act 1967, the Special Quarantine Ground (Notice No. 4936; New Zealand Gazette, 7 September 1989, No. 156, page 4128) which was extended (Notice No. 4981; New Zealand Gazette, 19 April 1990, No. 60, page 1332) as described in the Schedule hereto, being land previously set apart for quarantine purposes, is hereby abolished from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Schedule

Land at Hato Paora College, shown on Plan No. 1411896 as A, K and L, situated within Blocks VII, VIII, XI and XII, Oroua Survey District, being Lots 15, 16 and part Lot 17, D.P. 73, being of 76.87 hectares, more or less, and being the land in certificate of title, Volume 31B, folio 790 (Wellington Registry) and land shown on Plan No. 1411896 as M, situated within Blocks VII, VIII, XI and XII, Oroua Survey District.

Notice to Abolish a Special Quarantine Ground at Kiwitea (Notice No. 5152; QUAL/0966/KIW)

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to section 11A (2) of the Animals Act 1967, the Special Quarantine Ground (Notice No. 4599; New Zealand Gazette, 16 March 1989, No. 49, page 1118) described in the Schedule hereto, being land previously set apart for quarantine purposes is hereby abolished from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Schedule

Land leased by the New Zealand Dairy Board, shown on Plan No. 14111411, contained within part Section 225 and Section 227, Town of Sandon; Blocks VII, Oroua Survey District; and V, Pohangina Survey District; and contained within certificate of title 26/33 and certificate of title 797/21.

Movement Control Notice Issued Under Section 13A, Animals Act 1967 (Notice No. 5153; PL 92/348)

For the purpose of controlling the movement of animals which may be harbouring Echinococcus granulosus (True Hydatids) notice is hereby given pursuant to section 13A, Animals Act 1967 restricting and prohibiting the movement of cattle, sheep and goats into within or from the properties in the Waikari District belonging to J. R. Duncan and the Nicholson Partnership described in the Schedule for a period of time commencing with the date upon which this notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette and ending upon the date upon which the animals are declared by the Chief Veterinary Officer to be clear of True Hydatids subject to the following conditions:

1. That no sheep, goat or cattlebeast shall be removed from the aforesaid properties unless it is consigned direct to an export slaughterhouse or abattoir after an advance notification of at least one day to the Inspector-in-Charge at the slaughterhouse or abattoir; and

2. That no sheep, goat or cattlebeast shall be removed from the aforesaid properties to any other destination without a written movement permit approved by the local Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Veterinary Officer.
