Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Clutha District) Notice No. 1, 1992.
The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
Schedule
Situated within Clutha District at Finegand Freezing Works:
Finegand Works Road from the crest of the stop bank for the Clutha River at the south-eastern end of the PPCS Finegand Works complex to a point 570 metres north-westerly generally along the Finegand Works Road from the commencing point.

Approval of Traffic Improvement School
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument of delegation dated the 16th day of November 1992, I, Warren Richard Gillespie Simeon, Manager, Road User Standards, hereby approve as organisations or instructors for the purpose of conducting courses pursuant to regulations 11 (1) (b) (i) and 32 (2) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:

The Water Recreation (Clutha River and Lake Roxburgh) Notice 1992
I, Thomas Edwin Law, Senior Advisory Officer (Harbours Management), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979* and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to section 28 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give the following notice:
Notice

(a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Clutha River and Lake Roxburgh) Notice 1992.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a), 7 (1) (b) and 7 (2) and 8 (1) (a), 8 (1) (b) and 8 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 shall not apply to the area specified in the First Schedule.

Notice is hereby given that the Water Recreation (Clutha River) Notice 1980† is hereby revoked.
First Schedule
All that area of water comprising the Clutha River and Lake Roxburgh between the Clyde Road Bridge over the Clutha River near the Clyde Dam and downstream to the upstream side of the Rail Bridge at Balclutha.
Second Schedule

Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is, in, on, or using the waters or fishing, or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

A suitable notice as may be approved by the Section Officer (Harbours Management), Christchurch, shall be erected at the sites deemed necessary by the Section Officer (Harbours Management).

Where practicable, all persons in charge of vessel, or when water skiing, shall navigate or water ski along the centre of the channel as appropriate.

Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a), 7 (1) (b) and 7 (2) and 8 (1) (a), 8 (1) (b) and 8 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 shall not apply to the area specified in paragraph 3 of the First Schedule and those areas shall be access lanes.
First Schedule

All that area of water comprising the Clutha and Kawarau Arms of Lake Dunstan from the downstream side of the confluence of the lake Arms upstream to the Bendigo Bridge but excluding Bannockburn Inlet, and upstream to a boundary being the radius of a circle 400 metres north of the southern abutment of Dead Man’s Point Bridge.
