2.3 Broadcast/Picture Transmission ("Wire" transmission)

This service is available to customers for the transmission of news pictures and radio broadcasts.

  • Setting-Up Charge $15.00

2.4 Message Rate Station Service

This applies only to Great Barrier Island.

  • Monthly charge $8.70
    plus local call rates for calls between telephone offices (see section 2.1)

2.5 Telecom International Call (Toll) Charges

Direct dialled and Manual Telecom International Calls are charged per second after the first minute. A one minute minimum charge applies to each call. All other Telecom International Calls are charged per minute for each minute or part of a minute.

The following charges apply to calls outside New Zealand. Charges for calls from Ross Island, Antarctica (Scott Base Telephone Service) are shown in section 2.6.

2.5.1 Direct Dialling

Direct dialled Telecom International Calls are charged per second after the first minute. A one minute minimum charge applies to each call. Economy rates and one second charging do not apply where calls are connected by the Operator.

Countries to which Direct Dialling is not available are indicated by an asterisk.
