Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to take an Interest in Land in
the Far North District for Irrigation Purposes

Notice is hereby given that the Minister of Lands under
provision of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take the
easement described in the Schedule for irrigation purposes, to
be used for the Kerikeri Irrigation Scheme.

The easement is owned by the Pungaere Water Company
Limited which was struck off the Companies Register in the
course of negotiations with the Crown for the acquisition of
the interest which currently form part of the water supply
facilities of the irrigation scheme and it is considered
reasonably necessary for the continued functioning of the
irrigation scheme to take the easement.

Any persons having an estate or interest in the land may within
20 working days after the date of this notice send an objection
to the Registrar, Planning Tribunals Division, Justice
Department, Private Bag, Wellington. If any objection is made
in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held,
unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will
be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Schedule

North Auckland Land District

All of that interest in land being the right to convey water and
lead water and the right to convey electricity and the incidental
rights thereto created by Transfer No. 916079.7, North
Auckland Land Registry, over the following described land and
as shown marked on the plan number T 819, lodged in the
office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland.

Firstly, 6.2505 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1 on
Deposited Plan 145037, and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title No. 86A/263, North Auckland
Land Registry.

Secondly, 6.8445 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2,
Deposited Plan 145037 and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title No. 86A/264, North Auckland
Land Registry.

Thirdly, 4.0020 hectares, more or less, being Lot 3 on
Deposited Plan 145037 and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title 86A/265, North Auckland Land
Registry.

Fourthly, 4.0145 hectares, more or less, being Lot 4 on
Deposited Plan 145037 and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title 86A/266, North Auckland Land
Registry.

Fifthly, 13.8010 hectares, more or less, being Lot 7 on
Deposited Plan 145037 and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title 86A/269, North Auckland Land
Registry.

Sixthly, 5920 square metres, more or less, being Lot 11 on
Deposited Plan 145038 and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title 86B/724, North Auckland Land
Registry.

A copy of the plan may also be seen at the office of the District
Surveyor, Department of Survey and Land Information,
Ground Floor, Rural Bank Building, 5-7 Hunt Street,
Whangarei.

The easement to be taken is formed and situated at Pungaere
Road, Kerikeri, adjacent to the Waipapa River.

Road Realignment (State Highway No. 30) in
Waitomo District

Pursuant to Part VIII of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a
delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant District
Manager of the Department of Survey and Land Information,
Hamilton:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described in
the First Schedule hereto to be road and vested in the Crown.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the piece of
road described in the Second Schedule hereto to be stopped,
and further declares that the said piece of stopped road, now
known as Section 1, S.O. 58860, shall be amalgamated with
the land in certificate of title No. 42B/969, subject to
memorandum of mortgage H. 968139, South Auckland Land
Registry.
