The Fisheries (Cancellation of Crown Quota for Paua) Notice 1992 (No. 5182)
Pursuant to section 28U (6) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Cancellation of Crown Quota for Paua) Notice 1992.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of October 1992.

Interpretation—In this notice any reference to a Quota Management Area means the appropriate quota management area as defined in the Second Schedule of the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986 (S.R. 1986/267).

Cancellation of Crown holdings for paua—(1) Pursuant to section 28D (1) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries has cancelled Crown holdings of 2,597 tonnes of individual transferable quota for paua in Quota Management Area 5—South East/Southland (Otago and Southland Coast).
(2) The total allowable commercial catch for paua in this area is accordingly reduced in the manner specified in clause 6 of the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986, Amendment No. 10.

Temporary Safeguard Authorities Act 1987
Request to a Temporary Safeguard Authority to Undertake an Inquiry into the Importation of Goods
Pursuant to section 5 (1) of the Temporary Safeguard Authorities Act 1987, I, Philip Burdon, Minister of Commerce, request you to undertake an inquiry into the importation of the goods specified in the Schedule to this request ("the goods") and report on the following matters:
(a) Whether the industry in relation to the goods, has suffered or is likely to suffer material injury as a result of the importation of the goods having regard to the matters set out in section 6 of the Act; and
(b) If the industry has suffered or is likely to suffer such injury,—
(i) Whether urgent action is necessary to protect the industry in relation to the importation of the goods; and
(ii) If such action is considered necessary, the nature of the protection that you consider to be appropriate in all the circumstances, and the extent and duration of such protection.
