Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978

Permit Application to Export Sea Lions

Pursuant to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, notice is given that the Auckland City Zoological Park has applied for a permit to export 3 Californian sea lions (Zalophus californianus), (1 male and 2 female) to the Zoo Negara Malaysia, Hulu Kelang, 6800 Apang, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

Any person who wishes to make submissions in respect of the permit application may do so in writing, addressed to the Minister of Conservation, care of Janet Owen, Director, Protected Species Policy Division, Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 10-420, Wellington, within 28 days after publication of this notice.

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Final Determination and Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty: PVC Cling Film From Korea and Taiwan

Pursuant to section 13 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), I, Philip Burdon, Minister of Commerce, hereby give notice that I have made a final determination that the goods specified in the First Schedule to this notice (hereinafter referred to as “the subject goods”) imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand, are goods in respect of which I may direct the imposition of anti-dumping duty in accordance with section 14 of the Act.

I hereby give notice that I am satisfied in relation to the importation into New Zealand of the goods that—

(a) The subject goods are being dumped; and
(b) By reason thereof material injury to the New Zealand industry has been caused, or is being caused,—

and state that section 14 of the Act applies to the subject goods, and that there shall be charged, collected and paid on demand of the Collector anti-dumping duty on the subject goods. The anti-dumping duty shall be at the appropriate amount specified in the Second Schedule to this notice in relation to the country of origin of the subject goods.

First Schedule

Description of goods subject to this notice:

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) cling film, of gauges between 7 and 32 microns, and a width of 195 millimetres or more, but excluding PVC cling film imported and sold in dispenser packs.

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 3920.42.09.19A of the Tariff of New Zealand. The Tariff Item and Statistical Key is provided for convenience only, the written description being dispositive. Korea, Taiwan

Amount of anti-dumping duty: The amount of anti-dumping duty to be paid in respect of the subject goods shall be the amount appropriate to the country of origin and supplier listed below:

To: The Secretary of Commerce.

Pursuant to section 112 of the Radiocommunications Act 1989 (“the Act”), and pursuant to the policies of Government communicated to you by me in the Statement of Government Policy and Directions to Secretary of Commerce dated 30 November 1990 and published in the Gazette of 6 December 1990 at page 4581, I hereby give you notice that it is part of the general policies of Government concerning land mobile services that adequate provision be made for licensing, in common bands where practicable, of apparatus used by Government departments or Crown agencies for non-commercial public safety and security operations relating to protection of life and property, and that you may decline to grant licences in such bands where in your opinion the intended usage is not compatible with this policy.
