Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.

Order

Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as
the Waikato District Council (Validation of Rates) Order 1992.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date
of its publication in the Gazette.

Validation of rates—(1) The making and levying by the
Raglan County Council of the rates for the rating years 1987/88, 1988/89 and 1989/90 referred to in the Preamble to
this order are hereby validated notwithstanding that the public
notices and the rating resolutions were incorrectly worded.

(2) The making and levying by the Ngaruawahia Borough
Council of the rates for the rating years 1987/88, 1988/89 and
1989/90 referred to in the Preamble to this order are hereby
validated notwithstanding that the public notices and the rating
resolutions were incorrectly worded.

(3) The making and levying by the Waikato District Council of
the rates for the rating years 1990/91 and 1991/92 referred to
in the Preamble to this order are hereby validated notwithstanding that the public notices and the rating
resolutions were incorrectly worded.

(4) The adoption of the transitional rating procedure by the
Waikato District Council on the 15th day of May 1990 is
hereby validated notwithstanding that insufficient public notice
was given of the intention to adopt that procedure.

Existing rights not affected—Nothing in this order shall
be construed as affecting the rights of any party under any
judgment or order of any court given or made before the date
of commencement of this order.
