(iii) Lagoons and Tarns—Wainono, Swan, Raupo, Red, Ben Avon, Horseshoe, and any other high country lagoon or tarn.
(d) Not more than 2 sports fish from any of the following waters for which the daily limit bag is 2 fish:
Rivers—Jollie, Huxley, Temple, Maitland, Twizel, Frazer, Upper Ahuriri and tributaries above and including Ben Avon Stream, Ahuriri East Branch, Omarama Stream, Otamatapaio, Upper Otematata and tributaries above and including Clear Stream, Maerewhenua North and South branches, Kakanui above Clifton Falls Bridge, and the Waihao above the Waihao Forks Bridges.
(e) Ten trout from any other waters within the Region.
(3) No licence holder shall continue to fish for sports fish on any day on which he has already taken or killed a limit bag.
(4) It shall be permissible to make up the difference between a lesser limit bag prescribed in one place and a higher limit bag prescribed in another place.
- Minimum Size to be Taken—(1) No licence holder shall take or have in his or her possession any trout or salmon which does not exceed in length:
(a) 30cm from any lake, high country tarn or lagoon excluding salmon in Lake Heron for which the minimum size to be taken shall be 25cm
(b) 25cm from any other waters of the region.
(2) Every licence holder taking a trout or salmon which does not exceed the specified length shall immediately return it with as little injury as possible into the water from which it was taken.

Experimental Winter Season—Subject to licence holders obtaining a permit from the Central South Island Fish and Game Council office, Lake Alexandrina shall have an open season for fishing for sports fish from the 1st day of June 1993 to the 31st day of July 1993. Permits are available on request and must be returned with the required information.

Revocation—The notice published in the supplement to the Gazette, No. 151 of Thursday, 30 August 1990 on pages 3216–3219 titled District Anglers (South Canterbury Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, and as amended by the District Anglers (South Canterbury Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 1, is hereby revoked.

District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region)
Notice 1991, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as inserted by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the Otago Fish and Game Council amends the District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1991, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1991, No. 129, pages 2790–2792.
- Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1991, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1991 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).
(2) This amendment shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1992.
- Open Season—(1) Clause 3 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the words “Clutha River, downstream from Albert Town Bridge” and substituting them with:
“Clutha River, except that river reach known as Deans Bank defined by a landmark post approximately 600 metres below Lake Wanaka outlet and a landmark post approximately 600 metres above the Albert Town bridge.”.
(2) Clause 3 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by adding:
“Dart River, downstream from the Dart River bridge.”.
(3) Clause 3 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by deleting: “Lake Wanaka Outlet, source of the Clutha River lying downstream between a point indicated by a post landmark on both banks approximately 600 metres from the outlet of Lake Wanaka.”.
(4) Clause 3 (1) (d) of the principal notice is amended by adding:
“Ross Creek Reservoir: Rossville Reservoir: Sullivans Dam: Southern Reservoir.”.
(5) Clause 3 (1) (f) of the principal notice is amended by adding:
“Diamond Creek: Lake Mahinerangi.”.

Closed Season—Clause 4 (1) of the principal notice is amended by adding “Lake Wanaka, within 100 metres of any part of the wharf at the Wanaka Marina.”.

Restriction of Lures, Baits and Areas—(1) Clause 6 (4) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the words “Clutha River catchment upstream from the Clyde Dam” and substituting them with:
“(A) Clutha River catchment upstream from Lake Dunstan: (b) Ross Creek Reservoir: (c) Rossville Reservoir: (d) Sullivans Dam: (e) Southern Reservoir.”.
(2) Clause 6 (5) (a) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the words “Clyde Dam wall” and substituting them with: “Lake Dunstan.”.
(3) Clause 6 (5) of the principal notice is amended by adding “(e) Lake Hawea.”.
- Daily Limit Bay—(1) Clause 9 (1) (a) of the principal notice is amended by adding a further specified water: “Routeburn River.”.
(2) Clause 9 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by deleting clause 9 (1) (b) and substituting it with “Specified waters,” “(b) Caples River; Greenstone River (including all tributaries, but excluding Lake McKellar); Lochy River (excluding the special catch and release zone); Von River and Lake; Ross Creek Reservoir, Rossville Reservoir, Wilkin River, Young River, Sullivans Dam, Southern Reservoir. Daily Limit—No more than one sports fish per day.”.

Minimum Size to be Taken—Clause 10 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the figure “50cm” and substituting the figure “45cm”.

Revocation—Clause 11 of the principal notice is amended by deleting the figure “11” and substituting with the figure “12”.

New Clause—(1) Insert a new clause 11 to the principal notice as follows:
“11. Experimental Waters—(1) Young River is a fisheries experimental water and special rules apply requiring anglers to hold a permit to fish the river, and to report on their success and satisfaction.
(2) Sullivans Dam is a fisheries experimental water and special rules apply requiring anglers to hold a permit to fish the dam and to report on their success and satisfaction.”
