Laboratory Approved for the Testing of any Weighing Device and the Testing and Surveying of any Weighing Site

Pursuant to section 197 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 (as substituted by section 3 of the Transport Amendment Act 1992), I hereby approve the laboratory described in the Schedule hereto as a laboratory approved for the purposes of:

(a) the testing of any weighing device by an employee thereof, and

(b) the testing or surveying of any weighing site by an employee thereof.

The Measurement Standards Laboratory of New Zealand, Industrial Research Limited, situated at Gracefield Road, Lower Hutt.

Approval of Motorcycle Driving Courses

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (b) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and under powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 1st day of October 1991; I, Warren Richard Gillespie Simeon, Controller, Road User Standards, hereby approve the following courses of motorcycle instruction:

The course of Basic Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of regulation 27 (1) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;

The course of Core Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of regulation 30 (5) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;

The course of Advanced Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of regulation 32 of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;

to be conducted by the following approved school of instruction:

Commercial Driver Motorcycle Training School, Auckland, under the direction of Donald Spencer Ridgley.

Conservation

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together with Declaration that the Same Land Become a Local Purpose Reserve Vested in the Westland District Council

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Ministers deemed responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be held as a reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose reserve (water supply and sewerage utilities) subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further vests the said reserve in The Westland District Council in trust for that purpose.

13.8650 hectares, more or less, being Rural Section 6015, situated in Blocks VII, VIII and XII, Okuru Survey Districts. S.O. 10273.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservation as local purpose (soil conservation and river control) reserves over the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to become Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
