The Trust Bank Waikato Community Trust was incorporated as a charitable trust in accordance with the provisions of the Trustee Banks Restructuring Act 1988. The purpose of the community trust is to provide charitable, cultural, philanthropic and recreational benefits to the community.

Trustees’ Report for the Year Ended 31 March 1992
Dividends of $1,396,824 (1991: $1,210,924) were received by the Trust Bank Waikato Community Trust during the 1992 financial year.
Grants for 1992 totalled $814,080 (1991: $577,780). This represents a 41 percent increase over the previous year. These grants were made to 1911 recipients.
A net surplus of $660,460 (1991: $704,903) was transferred to trust funds. This has allowed the trustees the opportunity to diversify their assets by increasing its term deposit holdings by $636,039.
The trust remains in a sound position to continue to provide charitable, cultural, philanthropic and recreational benefits within its area of operation.
