Evidence of the loss of certificates of title (Canterbury Registry) described in the Schedule having been lodged with me together with applications for the issue of new certificates of title without production of the outstanding copy, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue the same upon the expiration of 14 days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

The Cranleigh Harper Barton Cultural Trust

Notice of Application for Approval of a Scheme Under Part III of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957

Notice is hereby given that the New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited as trustee of the will of Cranleigh Harper Barton, B.E.M., late of Christchurch, bachelor of laws and artist, has filed in the office of the High Court at Christchurch an application for approval of a scheme varying the terms of the will under which The Cranleigh Harper Barton Cultural Trust is held. Under the will the net income of The Cranleigh Harper Barton Cultural Trust is to be applied for the purpose of holding exhibitions of paintings by the said Cranleigh Harper Barton for the benefit of such charitable institution or institutions or such charitable object or objects, purpose or purposes as the trustee under the will shall select. Under this scheme the trustee will be able to distribute the net income of The Cranleigh Harper Barton Cultural Trust directly for the benefit of such charitable institution or institutions, object or objects, purpose or purposes as the trustee shall in its absolute discretion select or for holding exhibitions of paintings by the said Cranleigh Harper Barton for the benefit of such charitable institution or institutions, object or objects, purpose or purposes as the trustee in its absolute discretion shall select or determine.

The scheme will allow the net income of The Cranleigh Harper Barton Cultural Trust fund to be distributed directly to charity.

Copies of this scheme and the report of the Attorney General thereon may be inspected, free of charge, at the office of the Registrar of the High Court at Christchurch or at the offices of the solicitors for the trustees, Anthony Harper, Solicitors, Level 5, 115 Kilmore Street, Christchurch. The application has been set down for hearing in the High Court at Christchurch at 9.30 a.m. on the 18th day of June 1991.

Any person desiring to oppose this scheme is hereby required to give notice of his or her intention to do so to the Registrar of the High Court at Christchurch and to The New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited at the offices of Anthony Harper, Level 5, 115 Kilmore Street, Christchurch and the Attorney General not less than 7 clear days before the above-mentioned date.

Notice is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies and Credit Unions will, pursuant to section 94 of the Friendly Societies and Credit Unions Act 1982, register an instrument of dissolution of the Roundel Credit Union, Reg. No. 66/815, unless within 3 months from the date of the Gazette in which the advertisement appears, a member or other person interested in or having any claim on the funds of the Roundel Credit Union commences proceedings to set aside such dissolution, and the same be set aside accordingly.
