Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session

Order in Respect of Enrolled Nurse Maria Joyce Tohu

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (a); 42 (2) (d); 42 (3); and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 21 February 1991, ordered that Maria Joyce Tohu be censured; that she pay $900 (or actual costs and expenses whichever is the lesser) toward the cost and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the Council; that a notice stating the effect of the order be published in the Gazette and the New Zealand Nursing Journal.

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session

Order in Respect of Registered Comprehensive Nurse Susan Norma Drower

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (b); 42 (2) (c); 42 (2) (d); 42 (3); and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand on 18 and 19 December 1990 after due inquiry found Susan Norma Drower to have been guilty of professional misconduct and ordered that she be censured; that she pay a fine of $1,000 being the maximum fine which Council may impose; that she pay 50 percent of actual costs toward the cost and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of the order be published in the Gazette and the New Zealand Nursing Journal.

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session

Order in Respect of Registered Comprehensive Nurse Dermott Coleman Brendon Cooke

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (a); 42 (2) (a); 42 (9); 23 (2); 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 21 February 1991, has ordered that the name of Dermott Coleman Brendon Cooke be removed from the Register of Comprehensive Nurses. Council fixed a time of one year after which he may apply to have his name restored to the Register. Council also ordered that he return all certificates and badges issued to him by the Council; that he pay $1,650 (or actual costs and expenses whichever is the lesser) toward the cost and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the Council; that a notice stating the effect of the order be published in the Gazette and the New Zealand Nursing Journal.
