Animals Act 1967

Notice to Set Apart and Define a Quarantine Ground at Massey University, Palmerston North (Notice No. 5070 QUAL/0996/MPU)

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to section 11 (1) of the Animals Act 1967, land and premises at Massey University, Palmerston North, known as the Massey Poultry Quarantine Unit, contained on land within Section 190, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XV, Kairanga S.D. GAZ 46-479, certificate of title 6/106/75/1, Region 08, Manawatu-Wanganui, comprising 28.1459 hectares, more or less, is hereby declared to be a Quarantine Ground for the detention of imported animals or of one or more kinds of imported animals.

This notice revokes and replaces any previous notices in relation to the above described quarantine ground.

Dated at Wellington this 15th day of March 1991.

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Acceptance of Undertakings and Termination of Investigation in Respect of Alloy Wheels from Australia

Pursuant to section 15 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I, Philip Ralph Burdon, hereby give notice that having accepted undertakings from the Australian Government that Australian exporters of alloy wheels will not use export credits to subsidise future exports to New Zealand, I have terminated the investigation into the alleged subsidisation of alloy wheels from Australia initiated by the Secretary of Commerce on 17 December 1990.

Broadcasting Act 1989

Direction to Broadcasting Commission in Relation to Funding of Aotearoa Maori Radio

To the Broadcasting Commission—

Pursuant to section 44 of the Broadcasting Act 1989, I, Maurice Donald Williamson, Minister of Communications,—

(1) Give you notice that it is part of the general policy of Government in relation to broadcasting—
(a) That Maori broadcasting should be actively promoted and that funds be made available from the Public Broadcasting Fee revenue for this purpose; and

(2) In pursuant of that policy, direct that you shall—
(a) Make available funding of $120,000 (exclusive of Goods and Services Tax) to the Aotearoa Maori Radio Trust Board each month for the period from and including 1 February 1991 to 30 June 1991 to broadcast nationally using the AM frequencies which have been provided for that purpose by the Crown; and
(b) Make available funding of $103,000 (exclusive of Goods and Services Tax) to the Aotearoa Maori Radio Trust Board each month for the period from and including 1 July 1991 to 30 June 1992 to broadcast nationally using the AM frequencies which have been provided for that purpose by the Crown.
