Notice of Intention to Take Land for a Service Lane

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1981, take notice that the Thames-Coromandel District Council proposes to take under the above-mentioned Act, land at the corner of State Highway 25 and Mania Road being part Lot 50 described in the Schedule hereto, and land on State Highway 25 adjoining the above-mentioned land being part Lot 51 described in the Schedule hereto. (On Lot 50 is sited a wine shop and on Lot 51 is sited the former picture theatre.) The land is required for a service lane.

The land is shown in the Council’s Operative District Scheme as land required for a service lane and the taking is needed to implement the provisions of the scheme.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the General Manager to the said Council situate in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. If you wish to object, you must send a written objection to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington within 20 working days after the first publication of this notice. If you make an objection, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless you give written notice to the Tribunal that you want the hearing to be held in private.
