(b) By reason thereof material injury to the New Zealand lead acid battery industry has been caused,

and state that section 14 of the Act applies to the subject goods, and that there shall be charged, collected and paid on demand of the Collector anti-dumping duty on the subject goods. The anti-dumping duty so imposed shall be the appropriate amount specified in the Second Schedule to this notice in relation to the source and supplier of the importation.

First Schedule

Subject Goods

Lead acid automotive replacement batteries for the passenger motor vehicle market and marine applications (excluding DIN batteries), originating in Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.

The goods are currently classifiable under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 8507.10.09.00E of the Tariff of New Zealand. The Tariff Item and Statistical Key is provided for convenience and Customs purposes. The written description is dispositive.

Second Schedule

Amount of Anti-Dumping Duty

The following anti-dumping duty, expressed as a percentage of the value for duty of the subject goods, shall be charged, collected and paid on demand of the Collector, in respect of the subject goods:

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

The appointment of Commodore J. A. B. Lewis, O.B.E., A.D.C., B.C.A., is extended until 13 February 1992.

Surgeon Commodore Peter Huntly Robinson, L.V.O., M.B., CH.B., M.SC. (LOND.), is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves with effect from 13 August 1991.

The appointment of Captain T. M. O’Brien, O.B.E., is extended until 12 April 1993.

The appointment of Commander R. H. Keeling is extended until 20 May 1994.

Commander Colin Leslie Campbell, M.B.E., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 30 November 1991.
