Advertising Rates

The following rates for the insertion of material in the Principal Edition of the New Zealand Gazette apply as from 1 July 1991:

Category 1

Single column notices, e.g.: Notices under the Transport Act, Public Works Act — 55c per word.

Category 2

Notices in table form or taking up two columns across the page, e.g.: Regulation Summaries, notices under the Medicines Act — 60c per word.

The appropriate rate to be applied to an advertisement will be determined at the time of setting up the notice for publication. Customers will be invoiced in accordance with standard commercial practices. Advertising rates are not negotiable.

All rates shown are inclusive of G.S.T.

Defence Act 1990

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE

General Duties Branch

Appointments

Squadron Leader A. J. McWilliam, A.F.C., to be temporary Wing Commander with effect from 19 August 1991.

The following Squadron Leaders are transferred from the Active Reserve in their present rank, with seniority and effect from the date shown:

John Christopher Mathweson, 18 October 1990.
Glendon Keith Edwards, B.Sc., 12 November 1990.

Ian Grant Brausch is re-appointed to the Regular Air Force in the rank of acting Squadron Leader, with seniority as Flight Lieutenant from 30 April 1982 and effect from 30 April 1990.

Peter Anthony Cochran, B.Sc., is re-appointed to the Regular Air Force in the rank of acting Squadron Leader, with seniority as Flight Lieutenant from 29 August 1981 and effect from 29 August 1990.

Ronald William Ferguson is re-appointed to the Regular Air Force in the rank of acting Squadron Leader, with seniority as Flight Lieutenant from 7 January 1981 and effect from 7 January 1991.

Frederick Stephen Douglas Castle is appointed to commission on a fixed engagement of 5 years in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 10 May 1988 and effect from 7 August 1990.

Lieutenant Hoani Wiremu Hipango is transferred from the RNZN in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 1 February 1984 and effect from 15 April 1991.

Flight Lieutenant S. A. McCombie to be acting Squadron Leader with effect from 24 June 1991.

The following Officer Cadets are appointed to commissions in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority from the date shown and effect from 3 May 1991:

Stuart Douglas Brownlie, B.Sc., B.COM., 8 October 1990.

Promotions

Wing Commander G. L. Wood, A.F.C., to be acting Group Captain with effect from 10 December 1990, Group Captain with seniority from 12 September 1990 and effect from 12 December 1990, and his commission is extended until 14 September 1998.

Wing Commander D. M. Hamilton to be acting Group Captain with effect from 26 November 1990; and Group Captain with seniority and effect from 10 December 1990.

Temporary Squadron Leader M. D. Parkes to be Squadron Leader with seniority and effect from 4 July 1991.
