Declaring Land at Balcairn to be Set Apart for Railway Purposes

Pursuant to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Railways Corporation hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart on behalf of Her Majesty, the Queen, for railway purposes.

Canterbury Land District—Hurunui District

All that piece of land containing 60.7028 hectares (150 acres), situated in Block XVI, Grey Survey District being R.1920; being the land forty-secondly described in New Zealand Gazette, 1877, page 1011.

Pursuant to section 71 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 22nd day of December 1954 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 22 December 1954, No. 80 at page 2070, declaring land to be motorway in Blocks II, V, VII and XII, Belmont Survey District as to the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Amending a Notice Acquiring Land and Easement for the Generation of Electricity in Taupo District

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the District Solicitor, Department of Survey and Land Information, Wanganui, hereby amends the notice dated the 3rd day of January 1991, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 January 1991, No. 1, at page 12, declaring land and easement to be acquired for the generation of electricity, by omitting from the penultimate line thereof the words “District Surveyor” and substituting therefor the words “District Solicitor”.

Declaring Land and Leasehold Estate in Land Acquired for the Generation of Electricity, Land Acquired for Road and Road Stopped in the Central Otago District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager (Lands and Property), Department of Survey and Land Information, Dunedin declares that:

1. Pursuant to sections 20 (1) and 28, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the leasehold estate in the land described in the First Schedule hereto held by Sydney Earl Attfield of Clyde, farmer, under and by virtue of deferred payment licence, recorded in register book, Volume 11A, folio 1206, is hereby acquired for the generation of electricity and shall vest in the Crown on the 31st day of January 1991.

2. Pursuant to section 52, the land described in the First Schedule hereto to be set apart for the generation of electricity.

3. Pursuant to sections 20 (1) and 28, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the leasehold estate in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto held by Sydney Earl Attfield of Clyde, farmer, under and by virtue of deferred payment licence, recorded in register book, Volume 11A, folio 1206, is hereby acquired for road which, pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 8 and shall vest in the Crown on the 31st day of January 1991.\n

4. Pursuant to section 52, the land described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto to be set apart for road which, pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 8.
