Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Clutha District) Notice No. 3, 1991

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, John Paul Edgar, Senior Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Clutha District) Notice No. 3, 1991.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometre an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The notice, relating to roads within Lawrence Borough, dated on the 19th day of April 1966*, and issued, pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Traffic Regulations 1956, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Clutha District at Lawrence:
Ailsa Street.
Annan Street.
Ardrossan Street.
Beaumont Road (State Highway No. 8): From Ross Place to a point 120 metres measured westerly, generally, along Beaumont Road from Ardrossan Street.
Breakneck Road: From Harrington Place to a point 200 metres measured southerly, generally, along Breakneck Road from Thurso Street.
Campbelton Street.
Canna Street.
Colonsay Street.
Derwent Street: From Ross Place to Gabriel’s Gully Stream Bridge.

The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Balclutha Borough and Bruce County) Notice No. 2, 1971, dated on the 27th day of October 1971*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is revoked.

The Traffic (Clutha County) Notice No. 1, 1983, signed on the 24th day of November 1983†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Clutha District at Balclutha:

All roads within an area bounded by a line commencing at a point at the intersection of the southern side of Johnson Road with the eastern side of McNeill Street and proceeding south-easterly, generally, by a right line to the north-western end of Cambridge Street; thence along the north-eastern side of Cambridge Street to the No. 1 State Highway (Awuanui-Bluff); thence to a point 320 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said highway from Cambridge Street; thence across the No. 1 State Highway (Awuanui-Bluff) at right angles from its north-western side to its south-eastern side; thence south-westerly, generally, by a right line to the southern end of Yarmouth Street; thence south-westerly, generally, along the south-eastern side of Arthur Street to the south-western end of Arthur Street and along the prolongation of that roadside to the north-eastern side of Hasborough Place; thence north-westerly, generally, along that roadside to a point 50 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along that roadside from Ipswich Street; thence along Hasborough Place at right angles from its north-eastern side to its south-western side.
