Specified waters

(c) Rivers flowing into any of the Lakes Hawea, Wanaka, Wakatipu. The fish per day.
Nevis River, Lake KIlpatrick and the Pomahaka River upstream from Park Hill Bridge.

Daily limit
No more than three sports fish per day.

(d) The Clutha catchment upstream from the Clyde Dam other than (a), (b) and (c) above.
No more than six sports fish per day.

(e) Elsewhere in Otago Region other than (a), (b), (c) and (d) above:
No more than two salmon.

(2) Subject to the restrictions set in 10 (1) above, no person shall on any one day take or kill or be in possession of more than ten sports fish per day.

10. Minimum size to be taken

(1) No person shall take or be in possession of any trout or salmon which does not exceed the length—

(a) In the case of any trout taken from the Water of Leith, the Teviot River, or Lake Sylvan, 20 cm.

(b) In the case of salmon taken from the Water of Leith, 50 cm.

(c) In the case of trout or salmon taken from any other water, 25 cm.

(d) In the case of perch, no size limit.

(2) Every person taking a trout or salmon which does not exceed the specified length shall immediately return it with as little injury as possible into the water from which it was taken.

11. Revocation

The notice published in the supplement to the Gazette, No. 151 of Thursday, 31 August 1990, on pages 3219–3221, titled District Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, is revoked as from midnight 30 September 1991.

District Anglers (Southland Fish & Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as amended by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the Southland Fish and Game Council amends the District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1990, No. 151, pages 3221–3222.

  1. Title and commencement

(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1991.

  1. Authorised lures and baits

(1) Subclause (3) of clause 10 of the principal notice is amended by commencing the subclause with the words “subject to subclause (4) of this clause”.

(2) Clause 10 of the principal notice is amended by inserting a new subclause, viz:

"(4) Artificial bait shall be allowed by the holder of any junior or child free licence fishing in the Upukerora River downstream of the State Highway 94 bridge."

  1. Daily limit bag

(1) Paragraph (a) of subclause (1) of clause 11 of the principal notice is amended by deleting the existing description and substituting with:

"The mainstream of the Mataura River from the bridge on State Highway 6 (Black Bridge) 3 km north of Athol, to the sea."

Pork Industry Board Act 1982

Levy on Pigs Slaughtered on Licensed Premises 1991/92

Pursuant to section 30 (3) of the Pork Industry Board Act 1982, notice is hereby given that the levy on pigs slaughtered on licensed premises as from and including the 1st day of October 1991, shall be $4.950 (inclusive of G.S.T.) being $1.935 for administration, $2.936 for marketing and $0.079 for the Aujeszky’s disease scheme.

2.3780 hectares, more or less, being Sections 1, 2 and 3, S.O. 23358, situated in Block II, Moeraki Survey District. No certificate of title.
