Advertising Rates

The following rates for the insertion of material in the Principal Edition of the New Zealand Gazette apply as from 1 July 1991:

Category 1

Single column notices, e.g.: Notices under the Transport Act, Public Works Act — 55c per word.

Category 2

Notices in table form or taking up two columns across the page, e.g.: Regulation Summaries, notices under the Medicines Act — 60c per word.

The appropriate rate to be applied to an advertisement will be determined at the time of setting up the notice for publication. Customers will be invoiced in accordance with standard commercial practices. Advertising rates are not negotiable. All rates shown are inclusive of G.S.T.

Pursuant to section 19A of the Animals Protection Act 1960 and on the advice of the National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee, I hereby approve the code of ethical conduct submitted to me from Cooks Laboratories.

Defence Act 1990

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Captain K. F. Wilson, L.V.O., to be acting Commodore with effect from 23 March 1991, and Commodore with seniority and effect from 29 March 1991.

The appointment of Chaplain P. D. Bean, L.TH., Q.H.C., is extended until 13 March 1994.

Commander R. J. Gillbanks to be acting Captain with effect from 22 March 1991, temporary Captain with effect from 23 March 1991, and Captain with seniority and effect from 29 March 1991.

Commander A. D. Clayton-Greene to be Captain with seniority and effect from 1 January 1991.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander W. A. O. Martin, V.R.D., is extended until 18 October 1995.

Acting Commander Peter John Ware Stevens is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN in the rank of Commander, with effect from 20 April 1991.

The appointments of the following are extended until the date shown:

Temporary Commander D. Reid, 22 August 1991.

Lieutenant Commander D. A. Swann, 24 February 1995.

Temporary Commander N. T. Byrne, M.B.E., to be Commander with seniority and effect from 26 March 1991.

The following Lieutenant Commanders are placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from the date shown:

Trevor Ray McKeown, B.A., DIP.ED., 5 May 1991.

Jacquelyn Mona Marriott, 17 July 1991.

Lieutenant Commander C. Quincey, M.B.E., to be acting Commander with effect from 18 March 1991, and temporary Commander with effect from 20 March 1991.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander G. Clough is extended until 1 June 1995.

Temporary Commander C. L. Campbell, M.B.E., to be Commander with seniority and effect from 26 March 1991.
