In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of the charitable will trust of Ivy Frances Goodson, late of Devonport, deceased:

Take notice that at 10 o’clock on the forenoon on the 3rd day of September 1991, pursuant to Part III of the above mentioned Act, the Ballet Foundation of New Zealand, a charitable trust, will apply to the High Court at Auckland for an order approving a scheme varying the trust declared by the will of Ivy Frances Goodson, late of Devonport, deceased, by enabling the trust property to be sold and the proceeds invested and applied for the general purposes of the Ballet Foundation of New Zealand for the encouragement and promotion of ballet in New Zealand and to acquire therefrom other property or secure occupation of premises for such purposes and to apply the net income accruing to the trust in furtherance of the said purposes by itself or jointly with any other persons or associations and such other incidental and necessary powers in relation to the said trust property, the investment thereof.

A copy of the said scheme of variation may be inspected at the offices of Messrs Hesketh Henry, Solicitors on the Sixth Floor, 2 Kitchener Street, Auckland.

Any person desiring to oppose the said scheme shall give written notice of his or her intention so to do to the Registrar of the High Court at Auckland, to Her Majesty’s Attorney General, care of the Crown Law Office, P.O. Box 5012, Wellington, to the Ballet Foundation of New Zealand, care of the above-mentioned firm of solicitors, not less than 7 clear days before the first above-mentioned date appointed for the hearing of the application.

General Accident Fire & Life Assurance Corporation Limited

Proposed Release of Deposit

Pursuant to Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953

General Accident Fire & Life Assurance Corporation Limited (herein called “the company”) has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on in New Zealand the business of insurance and that it proposes to withdraw, pursuant to section 19 of such Act, the deposit which has been made by it with the Public Trustee.

The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that being satisfied that all liabilities of the company in New Zealand in respect of such insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for he proposes to release to the company, on or after 29 August 1991, the amount deposited with him by the company.

Any objections to the release of the amount deposited should be lodged with the District Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, 117–129 Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before 20 August 1991.
