Conservation Act 1987

Definitions of Fish and Game Boundaries

Pursuant to section 26A (1) (c) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as inserted by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), I, Philip Tosswill Edmond Woollaston, Minister of Conservation, hereby define for the purposes of Part VA of the Conservation Act, the following fish and game regions:

1. Northland Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Northland Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 65443, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the North Auckland Land District.

2. Waikato Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Waikato Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 58494, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the South Auckland Land District.

3. Eastern Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Eastern Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 58495, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the South Auckland Land District.

4. Taranaki Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Taranaki Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 13151, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Taranaki Land District.

5. Hawkes Bay Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Hawkes Bay Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 10031, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Hawkes Bay Land District.

6. Wellington Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Wellington Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 36311, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District.

7. Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 14578, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Nelson Land District.

8. North Canterbury Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The North Canterbury Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 18341, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Canterbury Land District.

9. South Canterbury Fish and Game Region
   There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The South Canterbury Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 18342, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Canterbury Land District.

10. West Coast Fish and Game Region
    There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The West Coast Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 11587, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Westland Land District.

11. Otago Fish and Game Region
    There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Otago Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 23263, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Otago Land District.

12. Southland Fish and Game Region
    There is hereby defined a Fish and Game Region, to be known as “The Southland Fish and Game Region”, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan 11587, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Southland Land District.

Copies of the plans referred to above are available for inspection at the local offices of the Chief Surveyor and will be available at the Department of Conservation conservancy offices and fish and game council offices.
