The Association of Home Science Alumnae of New Zealand Incorporated

Notice is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the above-named association on the 7th day of May 1990, the following ordinary resolutions were passed by the association:

1. That a declaration of solvency having been filed, the association confirm the three following resolutions of the association passed at a special general meeting of the association held at Auckland on the 17th day of March 1990.

2. That the association be wound up, voluntarily and that Anthony John Allen, chartered accountant of Takapuna, Auckland, be appointed liquidator with directions to dispose of the surplus assets of the association in accordance with the following resolution:

That the assets of the association after payment of all liabilities be given or transferred to The Association of Home Science Alumnae of New Zealand Education Trust Fund ("the Education Trust Fund") in cash or in kind for its general purposes, save the trustees of the Education Trust Fund be requested to ensure the association’s desire that the following specific purposes be observed:

   (a) That the interest from moneys in the Annie Aitken Fund and the Helen Benson Fund be used for continuing education purposes in accordance with the objects of the Education Trust Fund Deed.

   (b) That the interest from moneys in the Overseas Travel Fund and in the President’s Travel Fund be used for travel purposes provided the travel is done in furtherance of one or more of the objects of the Education Trust Fund.

4. That the liquidator shall be entitled to remuneration calculated on a time and attendance basis at the rate generally charged by the liquidator for liquidation assignments.
