Pursuant to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Pel-Air Aviation Pty. Limited has applied for an International Air Service Licence to permit the licensee to operate a scheduled freight service between Sydney and Auckland. Route Change State Highway 57

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State Highways published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, No. 20, page 384, by deleting from the Schedule the paragraphs described in the First Schedule hereto and substitute therefore the paragraphs set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

First Schedule

Paragraphs deleted from North Island section Parts I and II of the Schedule of the said notice. Part I “No. 57 State Highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon)—commencing in Levin and proceeding thence to Palmerston North via Shannon, Tokomaru and Linton.”

Part II Levin

No. 57 State Highway. From the intersection of Oxford Street and Queen Street, along Queen Street to Bartholomew Road junction at the eastern boundary of Levin Borough.

Second Schedule

Part I, No. 57 State Highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon). Commencing at the junction of Kimberley Road and S.H. 1 south of Levin and proceeding along Kimberley Road, Arapaepae Road and then to Palmerston North via Shannon, Tokomaru and Linton.

Part II Levin, No. 57 State Highway from the intersection of Arapaepae Road and Tararua Road northwards along Arapaepae Road to its intersection with Queen Street.

Revoking Section of State Highway and Declaring New Section of State Highway

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State Highway described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked and that the section of highway described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be a State highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Transit New Zealand Act.

First Schedule

That section of No. 6 State Highway from the intersection of Lightband Road, Ellis Street and Brightwater Bypass along Ellis Street and Lord Rutherford Road to the northern end of the Brightwater Bypass.

Second Schedule

The Brightwater Bypass from the end of Lightband Road to its junction with Lord Rutherford Road.
