10. Partial refunds—Subject to clause 11 of this notice,

where any domestic student who—

(a) is enrolled in a full-time, full-year course; and

(b) has paid a tuition fee of $1,250

—withdraws from that course before the end of the 10th week after the commencement of that course, the council shall refund to the student not less than $834.

11. Administration Expenses—The council may deduct not more than $45 for administration expenses from any refund given under clause 9 or clause 10 of this notice.

Explanatory Note:

This notice is not part of this notice but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice fixes standard tuition fees for courses at tertiary institutions and provides for the payment by instalment and refund of fees in certain cases. The notice also specifies certain courses where fees may be fixed independently. Where the notice neither specifies a fee nor provides that a fee may be fixed independently the fee shall be fixed by agreement between the council of the tertiary institution concerned and the Minister.
