Pursuant to section 56 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director (Operations), MAF Fisheries, acting pursuant to a delegation from the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries (dated in Wellington on the 24th day of April 1987) hereby gives the following notice:

The notice published in the Gazette on 9 February 1989, No. 27, page 614, declaring offices at which fishing vessels may be registered and appointing Registrars of Fisheries, is hereby revoked.
This notice shall come into force on the day after its notification in the Gazette.

Fisheries (Species and Area Prohibition) Notice 1990, No. 4956
Pursuant to section 65 (1) of the Fisheries Act 1983, and delegations made pursuant to sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Director (Operations), MAFFish, hereby gives the following notice:
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Species and Area Prohibition) Notice 1990.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of February 1990.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) Any reference to a Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986;
(b) The words “New Zealand fisheries waters” have the meaning ascribed thereto in the Fisheries Act 1983.
- Restrictions on fishing—As from the date this notice comes into effect until the 30th day of September 1990 (hereinafter called “the period”), it shall be a condition of all
