Animals Act 1967

Notice to Declare a Special Quarantine Ground (Notice No. 4959; QUAL/0966/SHO)

Pursuant to section 11A (1) of the Animals Act 1967, I hereby declare the land located at the property of Sea Hatcheries Limited, on the eastern side of South Head Road, Kaipara, approximately 2.7 kilometres past the Trigg Road intersection, to be a special quarantine ground for the importation of animals.

The legal description of the land is 15.207 hectares; Lot 1, being subdivision of section 2, Block XII, Okaka Survey District.

Fisheries Act 1983

The Fisheries (Chatham Islands Rock Lobster Closed Season) Notice (No. 4960)

Pursuant to section 85 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, after consultation with the Director-General of Conservation, hereby gives the following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Chatham Islands Rock Lobster Closed Season) Notice and shall come into force on the 1st day of March 1990.

  2. Interpretation—In this notice, the term:
    “Rock Lobster” means those fish of which the scientific names are Jasus edwardsii (commonly known as the spiny or red rock lobster) and Jasus verreauxi (commonly known as the packhorse or green rock lobster).
    “Chatham Islands rock lobster fishery” means the rock lobster fishery bounded by all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters enclosed by a line commencing at the point 40°25'S and 178°W on the outer limits of the exclusive economic zone; then proceeding along the outer limits of the zone to the point 51°50'S and 174°25'E; then proceeding in a straight line to the point 50°50'S and 174°25'E; then proceeding in a straight line to the point 50°55'S and 173°50'E; then proceeding along the outer limits of the zone to the point 48°15'S and 174°E; then proceeding in a straight line to the point of commencement.

  3. Closed season of rock lobster determined—There is hereby determined to be a closed season for rock lobster in the Chatham Islands rock lobster fishery commencing on the 1st day of March 1990 and expiring with the 30th day of April 1990, both days inclusive.

Customs Amendment Act (No. 3) 1987

Final Determination: Dumping Investigation Refined Sugar (Refined from Sugar Cane or Sugar Beets) Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 186L of Part VA of the Customs Act 1966 (as inserted by section 2 (1) of the Customs Amendment Act (No. 3) 1987), the Minister of Customs gives the following notice:

N o t i c e

  1. Title—(1) This notice may be cited as the Final Determination: Dumping Investigation Refined Sugar (Refined from Sugar Cane or Sugar Beets), Amendment No. 1.

    (2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date on which it is published in the Gazette.

  2. Anti-dumping duty amended—(1) The notice given by the Minister of Customs entitled “Final Determination: Dumping Investigation Refined Sugar (Refined from Sugar Cane or Sugar Beets)” dated 9 November 1988 and published in the Gazette of 10 November 1988 (“the principal notice”) is hereby amended by omitting the amount of anti-dumping duty applying to the goods to which the principal notice relates and substituting the amount of anti-dumping duty calculated in accordance with the formula specified in the Schedule to this notice.

    (2) For the purposes of anti-dumping duty payable on importations of sugar to which the principal notice relates which were purchased prior to the day on which this notice comes into force...
