TARIFF CONCESSION APPROVALS, WITHDRAWALS AND DECLINES NOTICE (NO. 5) 1990

I, Michael Richard Turner, Concessions Supervising Officer, Ministry of Commerce, acting pursuant to section 8 of the Tariff Act 1988 under delegated authority hereby—

(a) In accordance with Part II of the Tariff approve in respect of the entry of goods listed in the First Schedule to this notice the rates of duty or exemptions from duty specified in that Schedule with effect from the first day of the month so specified;

(b) In accordance with Part II of the Tariff approve in respect of the entry of goods listed in the Second Schedule to this notice the exemptions from duty specified in that Schedule with effect from the first day of the month so specified subject however to such purposes and conditions which I prescribe; and

(c) Withdraw with effect Fourteen days from the date of this notice the approvals granted in respect of the entry of goods listed in the Third Schedule to this notice; and

(d) Decline to approve in respect of the goods listed in the Fourth Schedule to this notice concessions for which application was made.

  9. Edge banding machines which perform the following functions only viz:- the application of preglued edging tape coils of PVC, melamine or wood veneer to hand fed panels by means of glue reactivation, with or without a tape front and/or end cut off function
    (Edge banding machines which have additional functions to those specified above will qualify for this concession provided the additional functions are relevant to edgebanding machines and are catalogued as being for the edgebanders concerned)
  10. Tenoning machinery
  11. Panel saws including sliding table panel saws
  12. Circular breakdown saws
  13. Docking saws
  14. Log cut-off swing saws
  15. Post peelers
  16. Splitting saws
  17. Vertical breakdown saws
  18. Wood debarking machines, Kasser head not exceeding 1425mm diameter and ring type not exceeding 1275mm diameter
  19. Hydraulic wood or log splitters
  20. Machine-tools for bending hard plastic
