Declaring Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, the Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, by this Proclamation declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown, hereby declare the said land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of the preservation of natural water resource and flora and fauna, and for the growth and cultivation of native flaxes and swamp grasses for the common use and benefit of the people of the district.
