Hive Levy Act 1978

Fixing Rate of Hive Levy (Notice No. 5052; Ag. 4/54/19)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Hive Levy Act 1978, having received the recommendation of the National Beekeepers’ Association of New Zealand Incorporated, I hereby fix the annual rate of levy for 1991 at 55 cents per hive.

This levy is to be paid to the Association in accordance with sections 4, 5 and 6 of the Hive Levy Act 1978 by every person who is a beekeeper on the 1st day of January 1991.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commander P. J. E. Baldwin, C.D., to be Captain with seniority and effect from 16 July 1990.

Commander A. J. Peck, B.A., to be acting Captain with effect from 23 June 1990.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander L. H. J. Rayner is extended until 29 June 1994.

Lieutenant Commander C. M. Beentjes to be temporary Commander with effect from 30 July 1990.

The seniority of Lieutenant Commander L. C. J. Somervell is post-dated to 29 August 1988.

Lieutenant Commander Llewellyn Douglas Holmwood is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 7 July 1990.

Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Geoffrey Donald Norcliffe, M.B., Ch.B., D.A., R.C.P. (LOND) AND R.C.S. (ENG), is placed on the Retired List with effect from 16 August 1990.
