Charitable Trust Act Notices

In the High Court of New Zealand, Palmerston North Registry
In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of John Beresford Swan Dudding Charitable Trust:

The public trustee as trustee of the J.B.S. Dudding Charitable Trust ("the trust") has applied to the High Court at Palmerston North under No. C.P. 282/90 for an order amending the composition of the advisory board of the trust.

The advisory board, as presently constituted, includes:

(1) "The person for the time being holding the office of mayor of Marton."

(2) "A person to be nominated from time to time by a resolution of the Rangitikei County Council."

As a consequence of local authority restructuring there is no longer a mayor of Marton, nor a Rangitikei County Council. The public trustee’s application proposes that the advisory board include:

"Two persons to be nominated from time to time by the Rangitikei District Council, one to be a resident of the township of Marton, and the other to be resident in the rural area of the Rangitikei District Council."

The date for hearing the public trustee’s application in the High Court at Palmerston North is on Thursday, the 29th day of November 1990 at 9.30 a.m.

Any person desiring to oppose the application shall give written notice to the Registrar of the High Court at Palmerston North, to the public trustee, and the Attorney General not less than 7 clear days before the 29th day of November 1990.
