Mediator of Mediation Service Appointed
Pursuant to section 251 of the Labour Relations Act 1987 and acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Paul Rodney Stapp of Wellington
to be a mediator of the mediation service for a term of 5 years commencing on the 1st day of October 1990.

Traffic Regulations 1976
Approval of Revolving Amber Light for Parking Warden Vehicles
Pursuant to regulation 67 (8) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, approve the fitting and use of one revolving or flashing amber light on any vehicle officially being used by a parking warden. This approval is given subject to the following conditions:

The vehicle shall be clearly marked with the words ‘PARKING WARDEN’.

The light may only be used while stationary and unable to avoid a traffic hazard.

Transport Act 1962
The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1 1990
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:
Notice
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1 1990.
The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
The Traffic (Waikato County) Notice No. 2, 1979, dated on the 20th day of November 1979*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within Waikato District at Taupiri:
- Gleeson Place.
- Greenlane Road.
- Lovell Avenue.
- Murphy Lane.
- Onslow Avenue.
- Orini Road: from the Taupiri-Hamilton Bypass to a point 100 metres measured easterly, generally along the said road from the Taupiri-Hamilton Bypass.
- Te Putu Street.
- The Crescent.
- Wright Street.
Second Schedule
Situated within Waikato District at Taupiri:
- No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from Kainui Road to a point 750 metres measured northerly, generally along the said State Highway from the Taupiri-Hamilton Bypass.
- Taupiri-Hamilton Bypass: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 300 metres measured easterly, generally along the said road from Te Putu Street.
