Notice of Intention to Take Land at Long Bay (Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District) for Regional Park

Notice is hereby given that the Auckland Regional Authority Council proposes to take under the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the Schedule to this notice for regional parks purposes to be used as part of Long Bay Regional Park at Long Bay.

The taking is considered reasonably necessary for the development of Long Bay Regional Park.

Any person having an estate or interest in this land and wishing to object must send a written objection to the Registrar, the Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, P.O. Box 10-044, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Schedule

North Auckland Land District

All that piece of land containing 2.3522 hectares, more or less, situated in the city of North Shore, being portion of Allotment 12, Parish of Okura, being comprised in certificate of title No. 31D/1004 and situated off Beach Road in the suburb of Long Bay.

The Trust Bank Bay of Plenty Community Trust was incorporated on 5 August 1988 as a charitable trust in accordance with the provisions of the Trustee Banks Restructuring Act 1988. The purpose of the community trust is to provide charitable, cultural, philanthropic and recreational benefits to the community.

The sudden death of R. Dillon last year is recorded with deep regret. At the time of writing the Minister of Finance has yet to announce the name of a replacement trustee.
