Hop Marketing Regulations 1939

Hop Marketing Committee Election (No. 5029)

Pursuant to clause 11 of the Schedule to the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of 5 producers’ representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places: viz., Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Nelson and Motueka, and Savage & Savage, Halifax Street, Nelson.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from 28th day of August 1990.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices, or from the Returning Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Motueka.

Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer not later than noon on 11 September 1990.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Army

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army.

REGULAR FORCE

Appointments to Commission

The following are appointed to commissions in the rank of Lieutenant and Quartermaster, with seniority from 19 December 1987 and effect from the date shown:

Warrant Officer Class I Brian Scott Frances, Royal Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, 12 March 1990.

Warrant Officer Class I Philip Gordon Packer, The Corps of Royal N.Z. Engineers, 12 March 1990.

Warrant Officer Class I Mark Broughton Tucker, The Corps of Royal N.Z. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, 12 March 1990.

Warrant Officer Class I Lyle Raymond Mills, Royal N.Z. Corps of Signals, 14 May 1990.

Warrant Officer Class I Robert William Bulman, Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps, 28 May 1990.

Staff Sergeant Christopher John Greenstreet, The Corps of Royal N.Z. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, 28 May 1990.

Colonels’ List

Colonel G. W. Talbot, O.B.E., to be Brigadier with seniority from 25 April 1989, effect from 25 April 1990 and is transferred to the Brigadiers’ List.

Colonel Joseph James Walker, O.B.E., is transferred to the Army Reserve, General List of Officers, in his present rank with effect from 15 April 1990.

Royal Regiment of N.Z. Artillery

Temporary Major A. W. Goodwin to be Major with seniority from 1 March 1990 and effect from 12 March 1990.

Captain S. D. Newman, B.A., is re-engaged until 14 March 1993.

Supernumerary List

Temporary Major and Quartermaster Denis Sidney John Dwane is transferred to the Army Reserve, General List of Officers, in his present rank with effect from 5 March 1990.

Royal N.Z. Armoured Corps

Colonel Commandant

The appointment of Brigadier J. W. Mawson, C.B.E., L.V.O., as Colonel Commandant, RNZAC, is extended for a period of 4 years with effect from 1 April 1990.

Lieutenant Colonel T. J. McCormish to be acting Colonel with effect from 19 March 1990, Colonel with seniority and effect from 15 April 1990 and is transferred to the Colonels’ List.

Captain J. F. A. Dowrick to be temporary Major with effect from 19 February 1990.

2nd Lieutenant Barry Reginald Morrison is transferred to the Army Reserve, General List of Officers, in his present rank with effect from 24 February 1990.

The Corps of Royal N.Z. Engineers

Colonel Commandant

The appointment of Lieutenant Colonel G. W. Butcher, M.C., E.D., as Colonel Commandant, RNZE, is extended for a period of 2 years with effect from 1 April 1990.

Major J. A. Tymkin, N.Z.C.E. (CIVIL), to be temporary Lieutenant Colonel with effect from 12 April 1990.

Temporary Major K. M. Lang, N.Z.C.E., to be Major with seniority and effect from 13 March 1990.

Captain Peter John Amyas is transferred to the Royal New Zealand Air Force with effect from 12 March 1990.

Lieutenant Geoffrey William Chao is transferred to the Army Reserve, General List of Officers, in his present rank with effect from 17 March 1990.

Lieutenant and Quartermaster P. G. Packer to be temporary Captain and Quartermaster with effect from 19 March 1990.

Royal N.Z. Corps of Signals

Lieutenant Colonel Donald Wiliam Smith is transferred to the Army Reserve, General List of Officers, in his present rank with effect from 1 March 1990.
